FUNDRAISING SCAMS ARE USING OUR NAME
The Guild has received complaints that citizens are receiving calls from someone representing themselves as Deputy Sheriff's for Kitsap County. The Kitsap County Deputy Sheriff's Guild is the ONLY organization authorized to use any reference to the commissioned deputies of the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office in any fund-raising event. If our WEBSITE doesn't say it's happening, or our office does not verify the authenticity of the solicitor, DO NOT GIVE INFORMATION OR MONEY to them! One such scam is soliciting a small amount of money for some sort of decal. We are not involved in any such fund-raiser. There are also other volunteer organizations associated with the KCSO that are often mistaken for actual commissioned deputies. This is not so.
Be sure you know who you are donating to.
